I have been talking about the importance of planning a Seattle to Hawaii vacation for a long time. Over the next week or so, I am going to talk about how you can decide on your vacation profile, and how to decide on your involvement in the process of planning your vacation. There are basically two types of clients for a Hawaii vacation in my business, the “do-it yourself” type, and the “do-it for me” type. Many potential clients will call and ask me “how much?” before they even know what they want. In our hectic world that is dominated by deadlines, and the stress involved in meeting those deadlines, it’s not uncommon for people to want everything bundled into a neat little package. Sometimes the actual planning for a Seattle to Hawaii vacation package is more work, or time consuming, than many people want to take on. These are the “do-it for me” types. That’s a good reason to have a Hawaii Destination Specialist do the planning for you.
My first response to the “how much?” question, is usually a “for what?” question. That’s where things tend to get a little sticky; as the potential client will sometimes respond with another question like “don’t you book Hawaii”? For those of you out there shaking your head, this is actually occurring much more often than you might think. As I said earlier, people are stressed out and just want to go on a vacation. I have been working on a couple of ways to address that particular client’s needs, and the needs of the frugal do-it yourself type of traveler at the same time. I have always put together the more standard types of Seattle to Hawaii vacation packages, for the D.I.Y. traveler. This gets them a good base to build on for their vacations. I have also been working on a more full featured “no stress, no decisions necessary” type of package for the do-it for me traveler lately.
Many of you are aware of the fact that I am putting together an “all-inclusive” escorted Seattle to Hawaii package for 2012’s winter season. These all-inclusive packages are the “do-it for me” (D.I.F.M.) types main vacation experience. Hawaii has not been known for this type of travel, with the exception of the one cruise ship that travels the islands. I have not announced the dates and details of my escorted all-inclusive packages for 2012 yet because I am utilizing the research, and vendor relationships I am building, to put together another vacation package product for those of you who want a similar type of no-stress, just go, type of vacation. The escorted “all-inclusive” vacations that I will be rolling out next year are limited due to the fact that I can only be away 3 or 4 times a year. These vacations will also only have set dates, and a set amount of people on the trip, because of my desire to make sure everybody gets the personalized experience they want. I also want to provide the D.I.F.M. types with a similar vacation product that gives them the flexibility in dates, without the escorted part of the package.
When you are thinking about planning a Seattle to Hawaii vacation, and you are the D.I.F.M. type, you may want to consider utilizing a Hawaii Destination Specialist to plan your next vacation for you. All you have to do is give me an idea of where you want to stay and your budget. I’ll plan it for you based on your profile, get the best price, and you can just go on a stress free vacation. Throughout the coming days we will cover more topics for both types of travelers who are planning a Seattle to Hawaii vacation.
