Early Planning For Your Seattle To Hawaii Vacation

by Fergy

What does early planning for your Seattle to Hawaii Vacation mean?  A normal pattern over the last few years of waiting until the last minute to book your vacation is quickly becoming a disaster for snagging airfare at a reasonable rate.  With fuel prices continuing to stay high, and the reluctance of the airlines to add more flights and routes, air fare pricing is going back to a more predictable pricing model.  Planning ahead for your Hawaii vacation is quickly coming back to looking ahead by 3 to 6 months at least, with 5 to 10 months not a bad idea.

So what does that mean to those that are thinking of a Seattle to Hawaii vacation?  I have several clients that have always looked ahead by 3 to 10 months for their vacations in Hawaii.  Guess what?  I am seeing some airfares for this fall in the low $400 range.   When working on one trip for a family of 4, there was one time frame in late October where we could get the air portion of their package for a little less than $400.  These are great rates that we can get in a “package” type of deal, which I have been writing about for months now.

I am also hearing from many of my travel agent partners that they are gently letting their clients know that everybody needs to start going back to planning ahead for your big vacations.  The days of getting that last minute deal may still be O.K. when it comes to your accommodations, but you will often be in big trouble when it comes to booking the flight last minute.  Because the planes are running the popular vacation routes very full to begin with, with those that are planning ahead, the chances of getting a seat at anywhere near a decent price is very slim.  Here’s the kicker too, don’t be surprised if the route is sold out on those popular travel days.  The key here is to book your Seattle to Hawaii vacation trips early if you want to have extra money for activities and fun.  Another key is to look to your Seattle Travel Agent for your best package deals.

I got a call over the weekend from one of my loyal readers asking why I have not run a “series” lately.  I am planning another series on Hawaii activities and attractions for later this month, so please hang in there.   I have been working on a very exciting new project that has been taking up a lot of my time.  The final implementation of this project will be very beneficial for Seattle to Hawaii vacation planners.  Look for updated news, and a more detailed explanation, either later this week or early next.
