by Fergy Ferguson

I have news about Hawaii Events In Seattle For March 2013, plus an update on when Hapa returns to Seattle.  For those of you who are watching this post carefully, don’t forget that Led Kaapana is playing at 7:30 tomorrow night (February 26th) at The Triple Door.  I just checked, and there are a few tickets left, with a couple of full tables of 4 also still available.  So my suggestion is to hurry and get those tickets today at Led Kaapana at The Triple Door

So let’s move on to a very exciting event coming up for the whole Seattle region.   After 30 successful years in Hawaii on the islands of Oahu, Maui, Hawaii (island) and Kauai, the Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival presented by the Ki-ho’alu Foundation comes to the Northwest.   There are 3 locations for these March 8th, 9th and 10th performances.  Olympia, Port Townsend, and Edmonds will host Grammy Award Artists LT Smooth, Stephen Inglis, Bobby Moderow, Paul Togioka, and Walter Keale in a 3 hour journey of some of the finest slack key guitar music in the world.  I have include these links for you to pick the venue and date.  For Olympia, March 8th,  The Washington Center For Performing Arts .  For Port Townsend, March 9th, The Upstage Theatre & Restaurant.  For us close to Seattle, in Edmonds, March 10th, at The Edmonds Center For The Arts

And for those Hapa fans, they will be back in May.  The guys often referred to as the “Sound of Maui”, HAPA’s music evokes a place that many people at different times have referred to as heavenly.  Get your tickets for the May5th performance now at Hapa at The Triple Door.

That’s it for now……

A hui ho….
